Summary

Alarm Security Manager does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. All data you enter stays on your device. There is no app server receiving your information; we use no ads, third-party analytics, or tracking.

Data processed (on-device only)

Alarm panels (name, phone number, model, notes), panel passwords (stored encrypted in the device keystore), history of sent commands and received events/SMS (sensitive fields encrypted at rest), and settings (theme, PIN hash, preferences).

Permissions

SMS (send): send commands to your panel's number. SMS (receive): read the panel's replies to update status — only messages from your configured panel numbers are processed; others are ignored and never stored; SMS content is never sent to any server. Phone: place DTMF calls to the panel. Camera: scan QR codes to import panel models (no photos saved or sent). Biometrics: optional app lock. Notifications: local event notifications.

Catalog updates (OTA)

If you set a catalog URL, the app downloads a models file over HTTPS (read-only). The request contains no personal data. With no URL configured, no network connection is made.

Backups

Backups are encrypted with your passphrase (AES-GCM) and stored locally. Sharing/uploading a backup is under your control.

Third parties, retention, children

No third-party sharing. Data remains until you delete it in-app or uninstall the app. Not directed to children under 13.
