KT9 Keyboard — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 June 2026
KT9 Keyboard (“the app”) is an Android keyboard (Input Method) developed by Koghisoft. Privacy is a design principle: the app works fully offline and no personal or typing data ever leaves your device.
Summary
- No data collected, no data shared. We do not collect, transmit, or sell any data.
- Everything stays on your device. Learned words, usage frequencies, personal abbreviations, blocked words, personal dictionary and settings are stored locally only.
- No account, no cloud, no ads, no third-party trackers or analytics SDKs.
Data the app processes (on-device only)
Like any keyboard, the app processes the text you type to provide suggestions. This processing happens entirely on the device. To improve prediction, the app may store locally: the words you use and their frequency, context (bigrams/trigrams) and time-of-day, your personal dictionary, abbreviations and blocked words, and your keyboard settings. This data is kept in a local app database and is never sent to any server. You can delete it anytime in Settings → Manage personal data → Reset. Password fields and “no suggestions” fields are excluded from learning. A Full privacy mode disables learning entirely.
Permissions
- Vibrate (
VIBRATE): haptic feedback on key press only. - Contacts (
READ_CONTACTS, optional): used only when you start the “Import contacts” feature, to add names to your personal dictionary. Names are read and processed on-device only and never transmitted.
Network
The app sends no usage data. The only optional network use is downloading language packs (additional dictionaries) from our server over HTTPS; no personal or typing data is sent.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 and collects no data from any user.
