Estingo — Privacy Policy

This policy describes how the Estingo application (“the App”) processes data. In short: Estingo runs entirely locally on your device. No data is sent to the developer or to third parties.

1. App developer

Estingo is developed and published by:

The developer is the point of reference for this policy and the app, but is not the controller of the data entered by the user and has no access to it: that data never leaves the device (see §3).

2. Data ownership

The app is a local tool. The data the user enters (clients, sites, equipment, photos, signatures) is managed by the user on their own device: the controller of that data is the user (e.g. the maintenance company), responsible towards their own clients and for the related obligations (privacy notice to clients, etc.). The developer neither receives nor processes that data.

3. Data processed

The App lets the user enter and manage, solely on their device:

  • client and site records (including any tax data);
  • fire-safety equipment, checks, faults;
  • photos and signatures captured during checks;
  • the technician's profile data (name, qualification, tax data, logo).

4. Where data is stored

All data resides in the device's local storage. The App does not transmit data to the developer's servers or to third parties. The backup and export features produce files (database archive, CSV, PDF) that the user freely chooses where to save or share (e.g. iCloud, Google Drive, email): those destinations are outside the App and subject to their own policies.

5. Purpose

Data is processed solely for the user's operational management of fire-safety maintenance, on their device.

6. Permissions

  • Camera: to scan equipment QR codes and take photos during checks. Photos stay on the device.
  • Notifications: for check due-date reminders. Notifications are generated locally by the App and involve no data being sent.

7. Analytics and tracking

The App does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.

8. In-app purchases

The App may offer a subscription (“Estingo Pro”). Any payments are handled by the store (Google Play) under its terms; the developer does not process payment data.

9. Your rights (GDPR)

At any time the user can:

  • access their data (visible in the App);
  • export it (backup / CSV / PDF) — right to portability;
  • delete it permanently from the App (Menu → Delete all data) — right to erasure.

10. Retention

Data remains until the user deletes it or uninstalls the App.

11. Children

The App is intended for professional use and is not directed to children under 16.

12. Changes

Any updates to this policy will be published at this address.
